Toontown Brought Back by Fans!

September 10, 2015

Hello again everyone!
If you kept up to date with my blog in the past you would know that as well as being a penguin, I was also an avid player of Disney’s Toontown Online.

As you may know Toontown sadly closed almost 2 years ago (19 September 2013). However some of the fans banded together and created their own private servers to reopen the game to the public.
The biggest and most well known of these private servers is called Toontown Rewritten.

Unfortunately as these fan recreations do not have access to our old toon information you will have to start from scratch. However there are plenty of friendly faces in the community that would be happy to help you through your journey.

Several fansites exist in the community that can enable you to make new friends and perhaps even reunite with old ones.
MMO Central Forums (if you are a Toontown veteran you may remember this as Toontown Central Forums) is an example of one of the most popular places to discuss Toontown Rewritten and various other Toontown private servers. There are also smaller sections for other popular games such as Club Penguin, Minecraft and Wizard101.
Several members of the TTR (Toontown Rewritten) staff have accounts on MMO Central Forums and will post updates on the forums from time to time. Therefore I believe it’s a good method of keeping up to date with the TTR staff and the rest of the community. I hear that some people are even directed by TTR support to post any suggestions or ideas they may have on the forums so that feedback can be received from the community.

I know I’m late to the party with this most but I hope that this will help people discover the various Toontown private servers and perhaps be reunited with old friends through the game or forums.

Until next time,

Club Penguin: Help for those with rejected names

July 7, 2015

Hi there penguins!

In my latest post I briefly touched upon the contact I had with Club Penguin support which caused me to visit this site after 5 years of inactivity. This post will explain the issue that caused me to contact Club Penguin support and hopefully help out others that are in the same situation as I was.

Recently I decided to login to one of my penguins to see if there were any new additions to Club Penguin. However upon reaching the server selection screen I was greeted with a pop-up containing the following message “Your penguin name wasn’t approved in English. Please create a new name. If you don’t want to change your name it will appear as (PNumberHere).” This particular penguin’s name had been approved for several years without issue and was not an inappropriate name in any way so I was very confused as to why my name had been taken away from me.

I decided to contact Club Penguin support to ask them why my name had been unapproved after all this time. I received a swift a detailed response from a Club Penguin support representative who explained to me that the email that the account was attached to included my penguin name and was therefore had been rejected to protect my personal information. The reason my penguin name had not been rejected when I first registered was due to the fact I used a different email for registration and then changed it at a later date (this was also a few years back but they only recently spotted the match). The support representative made a suggestion of a name that was very similar to my previous penguin name but I wanted to keep my original name.

Now that I knew the reason for my name’s rejection I came up with the idea to change the email address connected to my penguin to one of my newer email addresses that did not reference my penguin name.

How to change the email attached to your Club Penguin account:

  1. Login using your Club Penguin parents account here: https://secured.clubpenguin.com/parent-tools/login
  2. Click the “Edit Parent Profile” button found on the top right of the page
  3. Change the address found in the “Email” field to your desired email address and press update

Those of you who are under the age of 18 may require an adult to access the parent account on their behalf.

After changing the email I responded to the email send by the Club Penguin support representative asking if my penguin name could be restored now that I had attached a new email address to the account. I was unsure whether my plan would work or not but 5 hours later I received a response from the representative who had restored my name for me!

TL;DR: If Club Penguin notices that your penguin name matches part of your email address (for example penguin-name@gmail.com) they will request that you create a new name. However if you change the email attached to your account to one unrelated to your penguin name and contact Club Penguin support they should restore your name for you.

Shout out to Chelsea of Club Penguin support for both explaining why my name was rejected and restoring my name for me!

Has your penguin name ever been rejected? Did you need to create a new name or was your penguin’s name restored? Did this post help you out? Let me know about your experiences by leaving a comment below,

December 9, 2010

EDIT: DUE TO SCHOOL GETTING IN THE WAY OF UPDATES THE PBB ADVENT CALENDER HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR RELEASE TOMORROW (11TH DECEMBER) AT 9AM PST, THANK YOU FOR YOU PATIENCE AND SORRY FOR ANY PROBLEMS CAUSED!

Seasons greetings penguins, habbos, toons and all our other beloved friends! It’s December and with Christmas just around the corner PBB has decided to give you all an advent calendar – but this is no ordinary advent calendar no, no this is the Penguins Behaving Badly 16 day countdown to New Year calendar. Starting tomorrow each and every day there will be a new “door” to open on the PBB calender page that I will be adding a link from the homepage and sidebar >>> shortly. But if you think it couldn’t get better then you are wrong – us here at PBB have hidden surprises behind the doors, unlike most advent calenders this isn’t just a boring old picture or chocolate, oh no, these surprises are more like free card jitsu codes, events like habbo furni giveaways and Toontown parties – I can’t say anything else otherwise I’ll ruin all the fun 😉 . What’s even more great is if you miss a day because of school, other plans or being just plain forgetful you will be able to redeem the gifts 7 days after the door has been opened officially by PBB staff (as we are not magic we won’t be able to close/open a door exactly at midnight so please be patient if we do it late – we do have school that needs to be attended you know 😉 ). Also from 26th December to 6th January we will be celebrating the 12 days of christmas with little gifts too!

Well I guess that’s all for now, I don’t want to ruin any surprises but if I feel more information needs to be added I’ll edit this post,

Fire Peny 88 😀

See you tomorrow!

Feather Pin

October 25, 2010

Hey Penguins! The feather pin (linked to the current stage play) is located outside the mine shack:

There’s not much point of me going on Club Penguin anymore seeing as I’m not a member and I’ve grown out of it, so don’t expect weekly or sometimes even monthly posts from me. I will try to update as much as possible though and I hope to hold a Panfu Membership Contest or Coin Code Contest very soon,

Fire Peny 88 🙂

This is Gizmo, I would like to share with you the picture of me next to the pin.

25,000 Hits Party!

September 14, 2010

Congratulations penguins we have recently reached 25,000 hits (Comp is Now reported it to be just a few seconds before I began writing this post)! To celebrate we are going to have a 25,000 hits party, of course – but also I will be holding a coin code contest and maybe even a panfu membership contest too; great news for everyone! The party will be held in the Night Club on 25th September, server Crunch from 5am PST (8:00am Eastern, 7:00am Central, 6:00am Mountain and 1:00pm GMT) for probably an hour.

I hope to see you all there,

Fire Peny 88 😀

New Administrator

September 14, 2010

Greetings penguins, toons, habbos and everyone else! I’d like all of you to give a warm welcome to our new administrator, Gizmo! He is a spectacular toontown player who has been playing on lots of different toons, for many years now – he also plays on Habbo Hotel and has just joined Club Penguin; so expect to hear a lot from him and it’s an absolute pleasure to have him as the latest addition to the Penguins Behaving Badly team,

Stamp Party

September 4, 2010

Hey penguins! I haven’t played Club Penguin in a while but I just logged in today and saw this (new?) thing called stamps. I looked at a few of the things you need to do to collect them and some are kinda hard to do on your own, so why not come to the PBB Stamp Party? Bring your penguin to the whole party or just part you need to complete your collection! These are the stamps we will be working on 11th September, in sever Fjord:

  • Throw snow at the forts with 5 penguins of the same colour

To participate come to the Snow Forts at 5am PST (1pm GMT, 8am Eastern, 7am Central, 6am Mountain) and wear the black colour on your penguin.

  • Make 10 penguins smile in a room

To participate come to the Snow forts at 5:05am PST (1:05pm GMT, 8:05am Eastern, 7:05am Central, 6:05am Mountain) and continuallyuse the smile emote on your penguin

  • Party in the night club with 10/25 penguins

To participate come to the night club at 5:15am PST (1:15pm GMT, 8:15am Eastern, 7:15am Central, 6:15am Mountain) and dance

  • Form a full band at the lighthouse

  • Dance with 30 penguins wearing hard hats at the berg

To participate come to the iceberg at 6am PST (2pm GMT, 9am Eastern, 8am Central, 7am Mountain) and dance whilst wearing only a hard hat (you can get a hard hat for free from the Cave Mine)

  • Throw a party for 10/30 penguins

To participate either wait in the town to be invited to a party or add your igloo to the map from 6:30am PST (2:30pm GMT, 9:30am Eastern, 8:30am Central, 7:30am Mountain) onwards (I’ll be there until about 7:30 but I might stay a little bit longer/shorter) and invite penguins in the town, PBB and any other kind penguins will come to your party and we’ll party until we get around 10 or 30 penguins then go back to the town to go to another’s party. If we have been at your party for 20 minutes or longer then we will eventually have to move on to see if other penguins need help!

To help everyone reach this target members of the PBB team will be taking part in each event including Fire Peny 88, Duckle and Comp is Now but we still cannot guarantee that all the events will be possible (especially the hard hats at the iceberg or party task)  but we all try our very hardest and we hope that you all will too,

How to become “e-famous”: Toontown

August 15, 2010

Hello penguins! From now on every month or so I will have a new feature called How to become “e-famous” for a certain topic. This month (August) is Disney’s Toontown Online, (some of you may know me as peny?) and this post will show you some tips on how to become a well-known player on the game!

  • Tip 1

Take over cog buildings.

This means go into any cog buildings (1-5 story) and defeat them. Once you successfully save a cog building you will get a picture of your toon (along with any other toons who helped save the building with you) inside which all people who go into the building in that district, until the building is taken over again, will see. When you have saved the building no-one can tell what story it was so for beginners I suggest trying 1 or 2 story buildings first, if you want to go higher then this if you are below 40 laff points (unless you are uber with good gags) you shouldn’t solo 3+ story buildings unless it’s an easy invasion like cold callers. If you defeat enough cog buildings in the same district then you will make it into the leaderboard for that district and get a bronze/silver/gold star above your head (the highest I’ve made it is a rotating bronze star which is quite good because I did 3+ story buildings and that was in about 2hr, switching districts) and if someone goes into any HQ in that district they’ll see YOUR NAME on the leaderboard (I’ve been on the top of the leaderboard before and trust me, it’s very good publicity if you are in a busy district like nutty river/summit)!

  • Tip 2

Help other toons

Ok, I know this sounds like a bore but this will help make you look like a nice person! Try finding lower/similar laff toons with similar toontasks as you if you don’t like the sound of not getting anything at the time you are helping. As they say what goes around comes around, I should know because I have helped alot of people in my Toontown time and I know alot of people helped me when I was lower and still now – nobody likes a mean toon so if you help people therefore you are more likely to be helped yourself!

  • Tip 3

Set up a website and/or youtube

This is an optional step but it really helps! It feels really good when you see someone and they say that they really love you website – it’s happened to me on Club Penguin before, it’s really nice when one or two people come up to you and say that you have a great website 😀

  • Tip 4

Go Racing

Not only will enough racing boost your laff points but if you get your toon’s name onto the leaderboard alot of other people are going to see your name up there! (especially if it’s on ALL TIME RECORDS!). Alternatively (this is the easier and less effective way) race enough to get a good kart then show it off by parking it on one of the provided bandstands.

  • Tip 5

Get onto Top Toons

To get onto the top toons there is alot of different ways including: defeating the top 5 amount of cogs, bosses or buildings, buying the most “cattlelog” items or gifts, completing the most tasks or trolley games, winning the most races, catching the most fish, earning the most jellybeans, getting the most holes in one or courses under par in one day! This is all pretty hard so good luck if you try to get one of the records (top toons are displayed here: http://toontown.go.com/toon-hq/top-toons)!

  • Tip 6

Hang out in popular districts

If you spend alot of your time in the full/busy districts (like nutty river/summit) then more people will see your toon!

There are lots of other ways you can become popular on toontown so if you have anymore questions to ask please comment on this post,

peny (Fire Peny 88) 😀

We’re gonna party like it’s YOUR birthday!

June 19, 2010

Hello penguins! It’s my birthday on 21st June (Monday), you might’ve seen on the party widget that there is a party in my igloo 26th June 2010 – if not you might wanna check it out.

But this year we’re not gonna just celebrate at be being one year older, because this year we’re gonna party like it’s YOUR birthday! Yes, your’s; yeah I mean you sitting there staring at this post on your computer screen. This year I’m going to be giving away habbo furni, Club Penguin coin codes, card jitsu codes, Toontown gifts and almost anything else you could ever imagine!

Habbo furni will be given away to anyone who attends my Birthday giveaway and has the pass code which I will post more about soon (it will be held before the merge giveaway).

The card jitsu codes will be given out to anyone who comments with their penguin name and email address on the Free Card Jitsu codes post which will be posted on my actual birthday (I will be checking IP numbers so sorry if you have a shared computer but only one person will be able to enter per IP), full terms and conditions will be posted on the day.

I will also be hosting a Toontown party (more details posted soon) where everyone who says the special code word at my party I will write their name down to send them a gift.

The code codes will be given out in various contests held next week. I really hope that you guys enjoy this because I know I will 😀 ,

Fire Peny 88 😉

Toontown (and important update)

June 12, 2010

Hey penguins! If you have known me for a long time then you might know that before Club Penguin I used to play Toontown. For those of you who haven’t heard of Toontown I will explain what it is – basically it’s like Club Penguin except when you sign up you get to choose which animal you want to be, the animals you may choose from include: ducks, dogs, cats, pigs, mice, rabbits and horses! Then you get to choose the name, colour, size and clothes for your character. I am a small (kind of fat) yellow duck. Toontown is pretty similar to Club Penguin except for one big aspect: Toontown is more a fighting game where you battle the evil “cogs” (which are robots).

On Toontown I think that more then 1 person can have the same name so if you see another toon with the same name around that doesn’t mean it’s me – although I have never seen another toon with the same name. I want to get Toontown membership again soon but it is quite expensive! If you want to find Comp is Now on Toontown his names are Skippy Bananaquack and Oucho!

In other news the Habbo merge is now complete so more information on the giveaway will be posted soon. Also there will be a very important change coming to this website too – it will no longer be a Club Penguin fansite but a fan website for Habbo, Toontown, Club Penguin, Webkinz and almost any other awesome online game you can think of! Of course as this has been a Club Penguin fansite for as long as I can remember that will remain the main subject of the site. I might need a few more people to work on this site, so if you want a chance to be a offical PBB author, editor or admin keep your eyes peeled,

Fire Peny 88 😀

What’s next?

June 4, 2010

Hey penguins! After all the recent updates on Club Penguin I didn’t think that anything else was going to happen for a while but with the adventure  party and even more EPF updates to come I guess that I was wrong. Here are a few sneak previews that Billybob has realised:

HQ2007.jpg

This picture looks as if you can look at different views of all the HQ, I don’t really understand what the point of this is but still hopefully it’ll benefit us all.

Mon_blog.jpeg

Ok now for this first part of this picture I am almost sure that it is the adventure party! As for the second part it might be a new game that will be released? The third picture is of the new clothes which were released in the penguin style today. Do you have any other ideas of what you think will happen in June? If so it would be great if you could share your ideas by commenting below,

Fire Peny 89 😉
